After a positive July, the month of August was again positive for the broader markets. The S&P 500 rose 2 percent in August. The iShares Russell MicroCap Index (IWC) was up 2.7% for the month.  This summer has been fairly good for a change.  From May 31^st – August 31^st, the S&P is up 7.3% and the IWC is up 7%.
