# MicroCapClub Company Performance Analysis: January 2013

After a positive December, the month of January was one of the best on record. The DOW gained 5.8% and the S&P 500 gained 5% in January. The iShares Russell MicroCap Index ([IWC](http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=iwc&ql=1&ref=microcapclub.com)) was up 6% for the month.
