Jason Wild was a pharmacist. He then launched his fund in 1998 with $80,000 of his own money. He invested in Amazon and other types of stocks, and then he bought controlling interest in in a small pharma company Arbor Pharmaceuticals. A few years later Arbor was doing $100 million in operating income. He sold a portion to KKR, and parlayed that into betting big on Cannabis, first in Canada, and then in the US by building TerrAscend (TSND.TO / TSNDF). 

TerrAscend is a vertically integrated North American cannabis company with operations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan, and California. TerrAscend is the fastest growing MSO in its peer group.
