BQE Water (BQE.V / BTQNF) - Transforming Water Management in the Mining Industry

BQE Water is a niche service provider specializing in water treatment and management for metals mining. The company helps to transform the way the industry thinks about water in the context of natural resource projects by offering services and expertise that enable more sustainable water management practices. The company has two main revenue streams: technical services and operation contracts. BQE gets involved with mining projects at the development and permitting stages to design the water treatment system. Once BQE technologies get spec’d in, the mining client will typically be required to use BQE to run the water treatment system (operation contracts) for the life of the mine, creating a long-term (15+ years) recurring revenue stream.BQE has developed unique intellectual property and holds patents for niche water treatment needs, and is a sole source provider on more than half of its projects.
